Opportunity for LGBT People of Color

Stipend offered – $2400 per semester will be offered to each student accepted into the program.

Fall 2012, Winter 2013 and dual internships available with continuing paid summer internship option to select students.

In order to strengthen the experience and skills of people of color working in the LGBT Movement and ensure greater participation and inclusion in Movement issues, The Pipeline Project has developed The Next Wave Internship Program. The Pipeline Project invites talented LGBT students of color currently enrolled at accredited colleges and universities to apply for this incredible opportunity to work closely with some of the nation’s top LGBT leaders at LGBT organizations around the country.

Apply Now: Fall 2012 LGBTQ Congressional Internship

The Victory Congressional Internship is accepting applications for Fall 2012.

The Victory Institute will bring outstanding LGBTQ college students to Washington, D.C., for an intensive leadership program, including a Congressional internship with an LGBT-friendly member of Congress.

The program includes a generous stipend, housing in D.C., placement in a congressional internship and travel to/from Washington, D.C., as well as travel and registration to the International Gay & Lesbian Leadership Conference in Long Beach, California, in December 2012.

The Victory Congressional Internship is open to current undergraduate students of all genders, orientations, abilities, races, and political affiliations, including people with majors other than political science.

Dissertation Fellowship from the Social Science Research Council

Applications are now open for the Social Science Research Council Dissertation Proposal Development Fellowship Program for Ph.D. students in the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Divinity. The SSRC-DPDF provides funds to 2nd and 3rd year doctoral students in all fields who are at the beginning stages of dissertation proposal development on the following topics:

  • Ecological History
  • Gender Justice in the Era of Human Rights
  • Governing Global Production
  • Mediated Futures: Globalization and Historical Territories
  • New Approaches to Transnationalism and Migratory Circulation
